Your adventure begins in Bordeaux, the world capital of wine, where you can stroll its
elegant streets, gaze at classic architecture and sample iconic wine from the surrounding
vineyards.
Then it’s time to visit the Basque Country. Its history and culture make it a bold and
creative region. Biarritz is the perfect base to explore this world-famous slice of paradise.

DAY 1: BORDEAUX
Morning: fly into Bordeaux Airport or take the train from Paris.
Afternoon: tour of Bordeaux to visit its UNESCO-listed city centre and signature 18th century architecture. Stroll through the pretty lanes in Saint-Pierre old town, visiting Place du Parlement and Place de la Bourse and its famous water mirror.
Visit the Cité du Vin. Join an exclusive guided tour exploring the interactive wine museum, followed by a tasting of wine from all over the world on the viewing platform to drink in views of Bordeaux.
Evening: dinner at one of the city’s many fine dining restaurants then overnight stay at a premium 5* hotel (Mondrian Les Carmes, Burdigala, Intercontinental, Villas Foch).

DAY 2: THE BORDEAUX VINEYARD AND ARCACHON BAY
Morning: spend your morning visiting a winery near Bordeaux: Château de Ferrand in Saint-Emilion, Château Marquis d’Alesme in Margaux, Château de Malle in Sauternes or Château Léognan in Pessac-Léognan.
Head to Arcachon for lunch with views of the Dune du Pilat
Afternoon: boat trip around Arcachon Bay. Head to Biarritz Evening: dinner in a traditional restaurant serving classic Basque dishes and ingredients;
Overnight stay in a 5* hotel (Hôtel Sofitel Biarritz le Miramar Thalassa Sea & Spa, Beaumanoir Small Luxury Boutique Hotel Biarritz or Hôtel du Palais, the former residence of Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie).

DAY 3: BIARRITZ AND SAINT-JEAN-DE-LUZ
Morning: tour of Biarritz visiting its beautiful villas, seafront, lighthouse, Rocher de la Vierge and more.
Feast your eyes on the Hôtel du Palais and enjoy lunch at one of the hotel’s restaurants (La Rotonde, La Terrasse, Le Sunset).
Afternoon: time to explore Saint-Jean-de-Luz, its architecture, port, Neo-Basque villas, Maison de l’Infante and Maison Louis XIV.
Evening: enjoy dinner at a restaurant with ocean views to end your day on a high.
Overnight stay at the 5* Grand Hôtel Thalasso & Spa.
